Our January speaker will be Col Thomas "Jerry" Curtis who is the subject of the book "Under the Cover of Light" by Carole Engle Avriett.  Col Curtis was a POW in Vietnam for over 7 1/2 years.  Jerry will talk about his captivity and how he managed to survive.  The author Ms Avriett will also be in attendance and will be happy to sign copies of her book.  Her book can be purchased from Amazon and other online bookstores if you care to purchase prior to the meeting.  I believe she has made arrangements to have the book available at the Barnes and Noble at Sumter Landing.

At the end of the meeting the officers elected at the November meeting will be installed by Lt Col Wayne Brown USAF Retired our MOAA Area Vice President.

Our meal will be Old Fashioned Pot Roast (tender, slow-roasted and topped with mushroom demi-glaze.  This traditional favorite is served with mashed potatoes and a fresh vegetable.  Our vegetarian option will be Garlic Pasta with sautéed vegetables (no mushrooms).
