Our February speaker will be Scott Merritt who will present on the WWII Battle of Peleliu, the bloodiest and most unnecessary battle in the Pacific War.  One of the worst mistakes Admiral Nimitz made during the war was not calling off the the invasion when recommended by Halsey.  Our caterer will be Mission BBQ and we will enjoy Sliced Brisket and Pulled Chicken BBQ, Maggie's Mac-N-Cheese, and Green Beans, along with Slidders and Corn Bread.
