Our January speaker will be Linda Jo Heffner, the author of “Tainted Seas - My Sailor’s Story.”  Linda is a strong supporter of the military and her latest book, “Tainted Seas” is the story of how a sailor aboard a ship serving in and around Vietnamese waters during the Viet Nam war received a death sentence from being exposed to Agent Orange and how he, his wife, and his children were kept unaware of that sinister killer.  Her book is timely now that congress has finally taken action to treat some of the diseases related to Agent Orange but much still needs to be done.  She is a dynamic speaker (she also has done stand-up comedy) and well worth listening to.  Be sure to bring your spouse with you as I am positive her presentation will appeal to both of you.

Our January lunch will be La Hacienda’s famous Mother’s Meatloaf (my favorite) served with mashed potatoes & green beans.  The vegetarian option will be Eggplant Parmesan.  The meal and room cost is $20 per person so sign up starting September 22nd and we'll see you on the 12th of October.
